Title: Mambo A6MamboCredits Component Remote File Include Vulnerability

Severity: HIGH

Description:

a6MamboCredits is a plugin for the Mambo CMS; it is implemented in PHP.

The application is prone to a remote file-include vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input to the 'mosConfig_absolute_path' parameter of the 'administrator/components/com_a6mambocredits/admin.a6mambocredits.php' script.

An attacker can exploit this issue to include an arbitrary remote file containing malicious PHP code and execute it in the context of the webserver process. This may allow the attacker to compromise the application and the underlying system; other attacks are also possible.

Version 1.0.0 and prior are vulnerable to this issue; other versions may also be affected.

Affected Products:

  • active6 a6MamboCredits 1.0.0
